I would have loved to run T750 for sure, but the plan changed. Now that I am getting used to the 3cyl, It would be hard to go back! If we get some boats built, maybe GT-30 will phase out T-750 in the future? It seems that most guys (or girls) that run T750 have plans of moving up to T850. I can only see T850 growing and T750 shrinking... But GT-30 is a completely different boat. There's no upgrading the motor to run in a faster class. There was talk of running T750 boats with GT-30's. This is a great idea! This is a good way to transition GT-30's in. This is the only way I can see the T750 boat count increase...
Dave. T750 really has not got its feet wet yet. The T750 class has way more engine options than either GT30 or T850. We will see ETEC and 4 strokes in this class. It also has 3 competitive 2 stroke motors. The OMC 60 hp, the Yamaha 50, and the Tohatsu 50. The speeds will be in the low 60s. That is a perfect speed for this size of boat. Fast enough to be fun and challenging, but slow enough to be safe. T850 will be super fast and many of the drivers will not have the skill to be competitive. Just as we will have people moving up through GT30 to T750 to T850, we will find people than after trying all three decide on one class where they feel comfortable. Don't be surprised to see moms, dads, sister and brother all in the same class. T has a class for every skill level. In my opinion A TOP RUNNING T850 boat is the most challenging boat to drive in outboard racing! AND THE MOST FUN!!
