I was told it was built in 2000. I think it would clean up nice with some waxing.





When and where is the show? I am in the process of getting/ putting together an engine for it now and hope to have it running for this summer.

F1 looks great for display, see if you can complete mid, gearcase and cowl w/o pwrhead.
Bring it for big TG decal alone, done a lot for racing.

That sounds like a lot of fun. I should have it together by then, but if I don't, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to borrow a speedmaster lower to bolt on for the show. So either way I should be able to get something presentable put together by then.

I found an engine for it. I am having the drive shaft shortened for the 12" mid and should have the engine here to start putting it all together next week or the week after. It will be set up very similar to the F3000 boats run over in Malaysia, but with the gear case still shiftable. These aren't my pictures, but show how the boats are set up.

It will be a "pleasure craft", at least to start out. I don't know of any classes here that still run the full size cases, but the power head will be legal in a few APBA classes, so if I decide/can afford to race it at some point I can just spin it the other way put a speed master on it and go racing (may have to update some safety equipment to race).

I could drag race it in the states (odba, dsra, kdba etc) but that's a lot of driving down south and back.

My plan was, and still is, to design and build my own slightly more lake friendly boat. I'm taking Mechanical Engineering, and really want to get into high performance boat design when I'm done school. Using this boat to learn from (both driving and set up) a proven design before diving in head first and building my own. When I get a good engine set up, I plan on using the same engine when I get around to building a boat, which is why I chose not to go with a full on race engine set up.
