Here are all the upcoming events going on in our community in 2013 :

May 11th 6 Mile Lake T party - TBoats, Drag, Thundercats and some others

May 18th Buckhorn Day Boating G2G - Any Boats

May 24th-26th Owen Sound - Any Boats

May 31-June 2nd Waterford - RACE

June 7th 8th and 9th Sagandaga USA - Any Boats

June 21th-22nd Gravenhurst - RACE

July 7-8 ACBS Ghurst- Racing theme. Raceboat demo on Muskoka Bay

August 9th - 11th West Lake - Any Boats

September 20th - 22nd HPBC Annual FF - Any Boats

The Rideau Ferry ON Vintage Regatta is on AUG 17 & 18.
Primarily the inboard vintage hydros, but we do get a good
turnout of outboards, as we have a good beach to launch off ,
a ramp, and a crane .

We do see some of the older OPC style boats, Molinaris, Pinel etc.
Hope to see the old Ottawa based Switzer Wing 8-)

Miss Canada IV is coming, and they expect to get it going
better than in Gravenhurst

This will be our our 5th event in the past 10 years, as we stage in the alternate years to the Race Boat Regatta in Clayton, NY
Our event is a little more 'laid back' as we have lots of space,
ie; the grounds of the original Rideau Ferry Yacht Club, est 1909.

Dunnville ON is AUG 24 &25
O/B's, T's, and Drag.

Crystal Lake NY is SEP 14 &15.
O/B hydros.

Super weather, good water, acres of paying spectators, and a large field if I/BS and O/Bs. Two Switzer Wings showed up, one local;
-the long lost (?) 'Ottawa' Wing of Eddie DoYat with 150s;
-and the Kitson Wing with 125s, both with SSMs.
Neither ran, although I may have missed some thing early on SAT.
Two more pix, one of a Chrysler 150 'stacker',
whose strange sound got me out of the RV on SAT,
and a modern 'tunnel' by Randy DoYat with 2.5s

That pic is odd, I thought it was a 150.
It is on this side 8-)

maybe it's pre/post stacks,. ????

That is COOL stuff...I didn't realize we had Wings up here and that Chryco is AWESOME. My Dad was a Chrysler dealer when I was a kid and had a 150 Charger on a Vking...obviously not quite as cool as the stacker but it was the same colour lol.
