Great story and video! The motor looks in amazing shape!

I assume the boat cannot be restored? If not... someone should put the deck on their garage wall, haha.

What a great thread! Pretty cool find. Waaaaay better than any Titanic documentary! The prop looks minty fresh to boot!

Dok - As for the salvage laws in Canada I think (I don't know though) technically you are supposed to report your find to the Ministry of Transportation. If the owner is not located within a reasonable amount of time it is yours. In this case though I think they know the owner but I don't really know...

Pretty cool :)

The boat is at the owners cottage, he had made an agreement with the original owner that if he ever found the boat he'd get to keep it.

And I'm still bummed I wasnt there on sunday to see it come up, but diving down and being the first one to see the boat in person in 10 years made my summer!

what a great effort and find! i remember a boat flipping in dunnville and it being seached for after the races with a fishfinder and being found, a good reason to have floatation, you guys should start a salvage team i think sheuninck has a few stashed on bottom you could look for!!
that delta looks built as a stringer boat?

Thanks for the kind words,...but I am terribly saddened to realize what a sheltered life you've led. Yeah, McIver'd the Go Pro.

Join us next weekend,....Six Mile Salvage searching for Noah's Ark, thought to be in Kyrgyszstan mountains, near Uzbekistan border....relying on animal dropppings to lead us there.... You know the story.
Leaving early Saturday in tin boats, heading up Severn River to Trent, St Lawrence, Atlantic, the Med, Black Sea, portage to Caspian Sea, then a short hike.
BTW, bring an AK-47, wear your Camo Crocs for comfort, and pack a lunch. Tell wifey, might be late for Sunday supper.
