Buying a boat with a pad is not an option, they dont make boats like I want with a pad on them.
Im not racing as per say, if i wanted a race boat i would buy a 70's Bristol race boat and just modernise the top.

will have to have a good look into this, but wondered what speed gains are to be had with a pad versus non pad.

back to drawing board (cornflake packet).

How easy or hard is it to fit a pad on the bottom of a hull? How long should a pad be on say a 13ft boat and how wide would be ideal. is the pad only any good if the boat is stern heavy ?

... a little late, but here's some info on vee pad design Vee Pad Design.
