Here is an opinion video of the 10 best muscle cars.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYE_RcQpcuMI grew up with muscle cars and remember the beginning...1964 Pontiac GTO . I purchased my first new muscle car in 1966 ...a GTO, in 1969 another GTO, in 1969 a 427/435 hp corvette and in 1970 a LT1 corvette.
My favorite....1970 LT1 corvette.....reasons
The small block never loaded up from normal driving. It would scream 7000 rpm and shift to the next gear....411 rear end. A few of us would go to the corvette night drag races and beat most of the big blocks only exception was a green 1971 454 special order no options corvette owned by a doctor and tuned by Rick Eaton at Golden Mile Motors.
My last one which I still have is a 2000 Camero SS.
No question the modern performance cars are much superior and the electric ones will be even better.
But back in the 60’s and early 70’s gas a 40 cents a gallon....you could run these cars on the street...there were far less cars on the roads and lots of areas were you could let these pony cars loose on long no traffic runs. It wasn’t just the exhaust sound.....it was the carburetors opening up
Oh I have a 1966 GTO tri power .
What’s your history??
