Jamie said they could build an original style STV in a 16 footer for the right $$$.
Would anyone be interested in a new 16 foot STV??

That would be interesting, Don.
Any chance to make it 14 ft?

Any size is possible. It's all about the cost to do it. If several people wanted the same size boat then the cost could be shared.
Are there any other people interested? That Size?

My brother might be interested in a new DL. His 1989 DL is getting tired. Do you know anything about the builder?

Would the 16' STV be proportioned in length and width or just a spacer in the mold to make it 16'?
What size motor would be right at home for a 16'?

Making the 16 foot out of the 18 foot molds would require a different deck because of the way the deck is shaped.
The width is likely OK for the 16 footer.

It costs money to do it, so people would need to support Jamie with funds to do it. Then he would decide if he wants to do it and the group can then decide what the boat design would be.
As a development stage I would get just the hull made as a light 16 footer and make my own deck. Then try some motors . A problem with a smaller STV is it will cost more or equal to the cost of the 18 foot model.

But, wouldn't it be nice to have a easy to drive, safe boat that runs 75 mph plus with a 90 to 120 hp motor. Maybe go 155 hp and run a 1500XS or older OMC V4 race motor.

Yes Don. I think I would love having a 16' with let's say 120 HP on it do 75 MPH.
I hope he goes through with it. Can't wait to see more info on this

Did this die, or is it still a thing? Jamie’s add is still up on Kijiji. I’d be interested in a 16 footer, but would prefer a DL version.
