There are several threads and many separate posts on Ron Hill's site about the old EP class.
I found this thread interesting because it talks about DP class as well [T750 to us]. It also mentions the pre-production XR-14...14 foot Allison that never went into production. Randy on Six Mile has a very rare 14 Allison. I wonder if his boat is one of the ones mentioned in the thread.

That's interesting Don. I still can't get over the speeds our T750 boats are currently running at.

Randy showed me a picture of his Allison at a Dunnville race. It's an xr-14 for sure. What a sweet looking boat.

What people do not realize is T class was running in Europe while EP was in the states. Many of the EP rules came from UIM T class. When the records were set mentioned on this thread there were no Critchfields or VooDoos. Critchfields came in mid 1980's amd VooDoos in 1987. The enclosed style Critchfield was not an original idea. They had been running enclosed V hulls in Europe for years. Danny copied the idea from them .
Yamaha produced their first T motor in 1981 the 60D model, they later produced two versions of the 70CES. While most EP boats ran low to mid 60's in the 1980's, the T850 winged boats were running over 70. Today UIM has new winged boat designs in their rule book for T classes. People think boat racing is dying......it is NOT overseas....we need to follow what they are doing and follow their example!

I thought Randy's was a XR 14...So it is one of only 3 boats known to exist.

YEP, the speeds have improved a lot over the last couple of years. The OMC's are running low 60's on the oval. We have different makes and models of motors in the class. The current T750 kilo record is 66 mph set in England two years ago. If we ran a kilo run now I don't think the OMC's could beat it. Tom could beat it with his Mercury 4 stroke IF he ran that motor on Mike Cory's VooDoo.

Put the omc on a winrace and I think you will find the kilo speeds

The problem I think with the current 66 mph 50D Tohatsu record in the record boat looks too short to be a legal T750. It looks like a GT30 hull.
