I'm planning to go to the Miami Boat show for the first time in February. Has anybody on here gone before ? Any particular things you'd recommend I check out at the show, or Miami in general ? Anybody else going ?

Matt

Mitchie and RBT were both there last year. I REALLY want to go but...I'm a poor boat salesman so international jet setting isn't for me right now lol.

Miami is fun. I could walk around for hours in that city. Take the water taxi from the arena downtown to get to the show. If you are a total loser like me, then the idea of seeing Biscayne bay by water on your way to the show is pretty fucking cool. If you are at the nerd level I am... You will get excited when you see Pete Hledin, Randy Scism, Bob Teague, Scott Begovich, Ron Szolack, Tyson (The 50' skater thread on OSO) and a bazillion ridiculously good looking people (It's nice to be around others like me). I hope you like center consoles... And assholes too. Lots of assholes. But also lots of cool people... Paul Fiore very politely said excuse me when I was in his way while trying to tie up a 40 Outlerlimits. I talked for about an hour with a gentlemen from Skater ... He insisted I paw all around the new 47' V-bottom. You also learn what makes Cigarettes so special when you see the new ones in person. Oh!!! and Allan Brown was there too. Food and beer are silly expensive.... The marine stadium ruins are pretty cool to see, just hangin out right there. Don't bring your mom.

I'd have to take Mitch just to tell me who everyone is! The water Taxi would be MINT...
