The owner of our local marina has a small maybe 9-10' fiberglass boat with a 30 hp. He said today all is running well, I expect the motor is well maintained. I always had my eye on that 30 hp for our Glen-L Tunnel Mite, but my son is now 18, so getting beyond this. Although I have to add even I have lots of fun zooming around in the kneel down Tunnel Mite. It is safe and stable, handles waves well and turns on a dime. I just put my 302 Yamato on the Tunnel Mite. 70 kmph no problem, still a reasonable speed for younger kids/cottage use. If you're interested you could call Curt Harrison, at Harrison Landing Marina near Nobel, off Hwy 559 north of Parry Sound. Tel. (705) 342-5572, email service@harrisonlanding.ca . Our Tunnel Mite is up at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqT6bc3iFhY , gives you a good sense of what it can do. I think the performance of Curt's boat is similar.

Tom, thanks for the info. I did contact him about the boat. Neat little boat but not quite what I am looking for.

I think a Voodoo is your best option.
First: You can sit more than one person and you can ski behind it.
Second: You can upgrade to a bigger motor when time comes.
Third: You will probably get all your money back when you sale it, if you take care of it.
Forth: The kids will love it and so will you.
Plus they are more plentiful. I come across more Voodoos than any other T boats

I remember seeing my first Voodoo in my late teens early twenties at the Ottawa boat show, man did I want one back then.

Yeah a Voodoo does look like the best option out there. Too bad there never seem to be any small Allison hulls or copies of them around up here in Ontario. Would be great to have a small Ally for my kids to go along with my Grandsport.

Thanks for all the good info guys. Picked up a Voodoo last Friday. Has a 50 evinrude on it. No trim or tilt and just a regular aluminum prop but my son was loving it! Hull seems very clean with a good transom and floor.
