I got the entire message but then again i'm old enough
Still laughing, but the bottom line is that Ted's post does make sense.
I can't remember where i posted the logistics of weighing boats for this class, maybe was just a conversation. Could be done at Gravenhurst event and let the rest or newcomers run in Haliburton.
We all know who is fast in all classes so measures would have to be taken with weight in the following season.
The main goal of drag racing is to level the playing field no matter what the class. This one is the toughest in my opinion since most boats are ski, lake, and even purpose built boats that fit the class.
Haliburton was a great turnout with lots of unknown entries showing up. We should be encouraging this without penalty until they are hooked lol. All good thoughts for the meeting and i would love to see some representation from you guy's running in this class attend.
My contribution to all of this will be establishing a database of all entries in all classes.
First and foremost will be safety with minimum requirements met by all racers. Yes, i will be inspecting your boat and will have updated sheets prepared and ready. These rules and requirements i will be inspecting will be posted before the next season starts.
Secondly, all weight added to any boat will be recorded and strictly adhered to for all of you if required. Equality makes for fantastic racing.
Thirdly, we are all here to promote a common goal and not to make things difficult, just equal.
