After a long wait and a lot more waiting.. here are some photos of my boat! Im really hoping that its ready for Halliburton because formula class... IM COMING ;) He still needs to put down the core and glass in the seat base, has to flip the boat and fix the strakes. she's going to be ugly, but as long as it floats and goes fast, Im happy :D :D

That may be risky, I don't know for sure. Talked to Murph about my rebuild, and the Ventura he had completed for Tom, and he said the American built boat was much thinner than mine, it needed all the extra core just to stay together. If adding glass instead of core, might want to talk to the builder, see if 1 layer will do it, or if more would be required.

Did they just cut the outer layer of glass off the transom to put the new wood in?

when i was stripping the boat of all the rotten wood the fiberglass that was there was weak and broke.. so we cut it out and he has to re-glass over the transom a few times
