Not being a dick just trying to help. When the Surface of the lower is that rough it causes air pockets to form and lowers blowout speed by probably ten mph. A 235 on a Dl should be pushing 80 or better and blowouts are no fun at that speed especially if you're not expecting it. A half hour with some sandpaper and a rattle can would make a huge difference.

Ya - blowout at 80+ is a bit scary. Try to avoid if possible. It will happen at some point, so be prepared for some "action" when that happen.

That's one of those times when 2 hands on the wheel, and a "on the wheel" or "blinker" switch for the DOWN buttons are really handy.

Further to this (good point Mike) the shape of the lower can make some surprising differences in performance. I know for myself - we have experimented quite a bit with the shape of the lower and LWP. You can definitely get some gains (or reductions) depending on the shape of things down there.

Don't underestimate anything
