Well Ken...I ran 98 effortlessly...then it went flat...and blew the exhaust side off #2. Kinda my fault for running old fuel and not cleaning my o2 sensor in the spring. The upside is that it handles like a dream and now I've gotten a look inside the motor....:).

I am waiting for the wind to change directions to bolt on Jason's 34.... But overall, I love it. Torque... and pull. Ask James how the Triad pulls out of the hole... lol.

I doubt that I will ever be rolling 104mph with a passenger in my boat though. I don't think it has the top end for it.

Rebuild it and move on lol.....not much else to do really....it works really well. I just got too excited and didn't bother putting fresh gas in it (the pumps were locked @ the marina lol)

After work this evening I took a buddy that works for me for a quick blast in the SRV. He started tapping out at 102 or so  , but I still managed to run a 106 mph @ 5900 rpm before he started to cry, not really but the lake was getting too lumpy with traffic and sea gulls and buddy had enough anyway  Image
She has a little more, but not much, I'll have too see... Less traffic and cool air, raise the motor a little bit a DBR kit :P ...

110 mph with a bone stock 300 on this boat, ahhh, maybe but I don't think so ...
Still fun, fast and good on gas.
