What are all your guys thoughts on them? Do they really make it better for the boat while towing it around? Is it necessary?

If you're boat needs a transom saver it likely also needs a transom.

My thoughts exactly...transom savers only save rotton transoms. Running into a boat wake (or accelerating for that matter) is much harder on your transom than anything that doesn't rip the axle off your truck.

Personal preference and piece of mind. But I agree - a solid transom shouldn't flex or give any grief towing.

There is always lots of opinions on this topic. I agree that a solid transom "shouldn't" be a problem when towing.
But - I can't use a transom saver while using the boat in the water. But - I can while towing.
So I do.
Just like ... you shouldn't need your seat belt in the car - if your a good driver. But ... Shit happens - why not do what you can to be prepared.

Totally my own twisted opinion - for what it's worth.

And that's why they're hanging on the wall of the marina .
