well there i was doing better than my best, i decided to go for a little snowmobile ride. the rest is a blur... :lol:

i hit something on a lake doing around 80-100 mph, i think it was just a chunk of ice hit with the left ski.. I got tossed sled landed up right and coasted to a stop ,, i tumbled a bit and slid to a stop in a pile...

picked myself up and rode my sled home.. :shock:

broke left wrist and right shoulder. legs are pretty sore .. other than that im on the mend..

Boomer, you are won of a kind,...I recall u retelling carpal tunnel issues from hammering your nail,..now this.

Anyway, mea culpa. Musta been 2000ish, Buddies/I went sledding at Kenesis Lake, Haliburton Forest, late March, right about now, nice days, cool nights. Blue bird Friday morning,...I'm 3rd sled out of 4, hit a ridge way too fast which banks sharp left on the other side. I'm up in the air, land off trail, last thought through my mind was 'Oh Shit' before I hit a 1.5' tree dead center, I go over bars, kiss the tree.
After coming to, hauled by ambulance to Haliburton Hospital, I had cracked a rib, bit my tongue, split chin, broke jaw in 2 places, chipped teeth, F'n mess. Haliburton hospital stitched chin & tongue(like jello), sent me to T.O. to reset jaw, bolted up.
Wife comes with me to pre-op assessment, tells 2 prominent surgeons, 'You get him back together, because i'm going to FUCKING kill him'. She meant it, my kids were 4 & 6 at the time.
Anyway, surgeons sliced me open, put my jaw back together with screws & titanium plate, wired shut for 6 weeks. I was buying Gerber's creamed beef & corn for sustenance, lost 30lbs. Had I hit tree any harder, I'd be buying diapers.

BTW, all my friends say reason I race on water,...No Trees.
