Hello guys. I thought I would post some final pictures on my Critchfield with MOD50, I took her up to the lake and ran the motor in and had a lot of fun learning how to drive it, thanks to Paul C and Thom B for all their help answering all my dumb questions on how to build and drive a race boat!
I have not had the MOD50 out to wide open and trimmed up only one click from full down, that said I did manage to get a good flat lake day where I managed to get her up to 73 MPH, see picture of the Voyager GPS gauge that was installed in the boat, thanks Top Gun Marine for that gauge, its really nice! The motor has an incredible easy to rev, i'm sure it will hit 9000 if i was to nail it down, thanks again to my friend Thom Bucknell, that is a screaming motor for sure, more than I can handle so far.
Some learning how to drive lessons, not going fast don't worrry
On way from launch to my boat house cart rail system, not going fast don't worry
In the bay near my cabin showing of and yes, not going fast don't worry
On the rails after first test ride, now to check carbs, compression, gear oil, yada yada yada, hay my nice paint job pealed off just like Thom and Paul said it would! That’s my Dads old 1972 Vanguard Predator in the boat house, I did a custom motor for it last year with Yamaha PRO50 Power trim and tilt
Nifty Voyager GPS gauge that Paul K put in the boat before he sold it to me worked great until I updated the firmware the last day at the lake, the firmware upgrade crashed it!
My nice paint job that I went to so much trouble to do, :-Q
