Has anybody had any experience with diy carbon fibre reed valves? buying a sheet of carbon fibre and cutting out your own? I was thinking of buying some of these sheets and cutting them out.

Yes I have tried to buy them [from chris carson marine] with no luck so don't make that suggestion.

I've dealt with Tony Doukas with good results. If you want to give buying reeds another shot...

Tony talked to me for a long time to fully determine my needs...and actually recommended against carbon. It did take a couple of calls but it was worth it.

Not calling from Australia that's going to cost more than the reeds will, and the website does not list anything for OMC.

Yeah I found the boyesen distributor in AUS but I don't think they deal with outboards.
