Yep boomer that's my old whip. I miss it soo much. I love hpdi's. After driving the 0x66 on the challenger yesterday I will never put an ox on a big heavy boat ever in my life.

James it was great to have you make the Sagandaga Romp last weekend ! Also a pleasure meeting Dave and AL and I hope you are all back next year !

The waters were a little choppier and with waves from all angles that weekend. Worse then I recall in the past 3 years and it was warmer (78-85), windier with more recreational boats about.

I am sure glad you survived your highspeed spinout without more damage or harm. It looked wicked from the dock and everyone started praying :o . But then the yami started up and off you went back toward the ramps as a Sigh of relief over came the doom and gloom in the crowd :). Glad to hear it's almost fixed already.

As for the Challenger, I think at least 1" more setback would have helped it fly easier and it would have been faster. Setback was at 18" which seems to work in heavier/closer chop I usually run in. But you did get an 86.7 when you ran it with the Backseat in (was the first time I ever had it in also) and 20 gals. aboard. With the backseat out I got it to 88 on the dam run and that's without the HI-PO heads.

I must say we all had so much fun activity each day and evening that I slept like a rock each night ! Or was that from the moonshine? LOL

Maybe we can get a larger group to go down next year and see if we can get the Long Island guys to come to ONT. Maybe a Georgian Bay Run from Honey Harbour to Perry Sound, Umbrella Islands back to Honey Harbour.

That might be an amazing run for 21+ footers and with the people around who know the area would be one hell of a run!

We have a milling/parking spot at Bone Island and I'm sure the Cole crew could accommodate the North Leg of the gathering.

Something to consider, I miss the day long runs we used to do in the day 100 miles in a day. To much beach time these days.
Dave

Dave that would be awesome! I for one would love to do both runs. I've dealt with quite a few of the LI crew and would love to put a face to a name. The HH to PS run is good..ive done it a number of times.
