The lightweight cowl is vented like that. I had to mod my HPDI cowl so it would draw air from under the scoop instead of the rear...the hood also flexed so much that the sides bulged out and it would suck in all kinds of swirl.

I'll have to get you to look at the hood situation when it comes in to get tuned by M.R.S ...
