T for 2 the Family class

This idea is a T combo class , SLT style
An interesting possibility.

The boat would be a 16 to 18 foot V hull.
These would be old Chargers, Checkmates, Baja etc.
The boat must have twin motors.
Each motor is 70 hp.
The boat must have a driver and a passenger.
There must be a male and a female.

So it is two motors and two people
Twice as much FUN!

How is one supposed to fit 2 motors in the well of a Checkmate?

I can see this topic going in strange directions...
I can just see it, me steering one, she steering the other... Left... No the other Left.

Why not something cheaper like what they're doing down south Tri-Hull Racing with old inlines and V4's. Boats are cheap motors are plentiful.

If you check Ron Hill's site there is a tri hull in the V4 140 hp class running twin 70 OMC's.

In Europe they do run some classes with 2 people in the boat. The two people can eliminate the need for centre steering and you can use your normal lake boat in a race. The twin motor is just a thought. Single engine with two people would draw more entries. BUT, just like with the twin motors in the tri hull class you could have that option.
