this is our setup , four lanes of HO scale racing, the tower has four infra red beams connected to an old 386 computer thats starts the races and gives you average and fastest speed and lap times , as well as docking you a lap if you jump the start. the fastest cars do a lap in 2.4 seconds. we dont use it much anymore as my son is into paintball (speedball) in his spare time away from sports.I have a hobby store size parts bin of parts for these cars, new in the box lol.

That's cool Steve...and fast! My cars end up in the curtains if I try to push it lol.

Slot cars are pretty cool. We had a track growing up. The first revision had a unfair advantage that put one car on the outside almost all the time. You could gun it all the way around in that lane while the other guy spun out. Needless to say the old guy had that torn apart and rebuilt pretty quick lol!

Cool story Kevi - wish that I could stumble into something like that!

I have been into slot cars for more than a few years. We used to race 24:1 scale Parma chassis with lexan bodies alot of fun you could change gears, tires and motors. Now we race 32:1 cars same thing you can tune them there are a couple of big tracks in the GTA that you can race at some good fun with the kids. There is a 6 lane track at Downsview at the indoor go-kart track.
