my guess is rust and corrosion in your tank. or where you getting your fuel from... but more than likely your tank.

You're obviously getting contamination from somewhere, and if you say it's a new tank with clean fuel in it, it's not the tank. It's somewhere in the delivery system. Pickup hose, delivery hose, filters, possibly even your fuel rail. I know you've replaced just about everything, but something's still not right. If this is the fuel from the filter to the engine, then those are the places I would look.

that is nasty :( , start at one end of the fuel system and work your way to the other , the problem has to show up. did you take the fuel pickup out of the tank yet to check it ? my guess is the screen or syphon valve have rust in them. in the tank, pull the tank out take the pickup OUT< take the hose from the tank to the filter OFF, clean/ inspect it, next is the filter,, take it out put it on your work bench and CLEAN IT... SPOTTLESS ,, countinue this untill you find the source of the problem..

oarnge fuel means water in it. Yes I have seen this many times in sleds, if it gets alot worse, it ends up looking like a chocolate bar in the tank. that is you problem for sure Charlie. remove the tank and flush and clean everything in the fuel system, and I guess change those expensive filters again. sucks, change any origional rubber line left in the fuel system, even the fill line to the tank.

Steve

Not to go against what you said Steve, but usually fuel and water will be yellow and cloudy, then seperate after a few minutes, you will actually see the fuel floating on the water, or a few water "bubbles" in the bottom of the fuel. Had to do a lot of fuel testing last winter at the shop, a few stations had water in their fuel, which was icing up in the tanks at 40 below and plugging up filters so the vehicle wouldn't run. I'm not used to seeing orange fuel. If it doesn't seperate after sitting I'd think it was something else. Not saying it isn't water, it could be, but I'd let it sit, see if it seperates.

There are additives mixed with fuel that are supposed to absorb a certain amount of water, maybe different manufacturers use different additives, maybe they turn different colours at different thresholds. I don't know. But cloudy yellow is all I've ever seen. Did I mention it will seperate??? Lol

I,ve seen it , that exact colour, like I said, gets worse when left too. I could not believe the damage to my friends polaris xcr carbs took me a week to get them clean.it was like a heavy varnish on the flat bowls. Not to argue either, but that is my personal experience. One of your neighbours pissed at your boat Charlie?????
