oh you dont put down outboards but you have no problem putting down the owner/builder. and i did read your post it says you do ALL the WORK in YOUR shop at home,,..... then you said the machine work gets done up the road... great contradiction

i for one is all for People thinking outside the box when it comes to performance. V8 is making shit happen with the resources he has in front of him... and Boomer your doing the same thing with what you have in front of you. i love it all.

most boat builders were just Farmers that decided they wanted a boat. then BOOM you have hydrostreams. anyone is capable of achieving anything they put there mind to.

just keep on moving forward.

I agree James, all the poking is in good fun guys, we are all doing the same thing!!! all you have to do is read a certain two cousins posts on here to see you can dig the hell out of someone ( I really enjoy them ) all in good fun, in a powerboat television / red green show kinda way. I come from sledding, there is no more brand loyal sport than that lol, we did nothing else but poke fun at each others manufacturers. My beaverton two cents for the day. :D

When I posted guys down south where running the omc's down the mid 70's compression, I should mention these are compression relieved motors, so this would equate to 90 to 95 merc and yamaha numbers.

if mark met me he would know, im all about fun. i agree with JCs post. i make the slomc comments for fun.(i have nothing against the brand, every brand has its bad apples) i know mark gets upset when i direct them at him, it upset me when he made the comment about having access to a machine shop when we all know he isn't going to help me.. i would love to go for a run with mark one day but he has made it painfully clear i am not welcome, so i stay up North, mastermind my own reckless plans, and smash 80 with a stock lower unit. :D

well you never know  back to the task at hand,, im going to buld a 2.0l because its the only block i have that doesnt need a sleeve,, so ill only need 1 piston, all 4 crank beaings, rod bearings, and gaskets.. once that is together ill take my 2.4's to a machine shop. if i only need 1 sleeve in the 200 ill build it, but if it ends up needing more than 1 ,, ill get them to re sleeve the bp block.. and do it right. either block will work. i think the bp would be neat on the baja. :D
