Several weeks ago the engine was surging and thankss to cycle one the remedy was fixed It started all over again and I had a leaking gas tank ;checked the vst filter and it had black residue .removed tank and noticed black residue from the filler gas hose.
Today I finished installing the new 27 gallon moeller gas tank and installed a merc 25 micron water separating and water filter new gas filter cannister filter vst..plugs and fuel line
.Now this is the problem put the boat in the water had difficult starting primed it several times started ran it make it short 50 mph top end.... rpm 3900. ...came back to dock tryed to restart coughs and stutters, took it out and again seems like it running on 3 cylinders
Now im no mechanic by any means but i will try to conquer the task....after reading what i seen on the web could it be clogged 4 injector filter and the 4 secret filter or the fuel pump

What about it being a clogged injector(s) in general beyond the filters? Sounds like your fill line hose rotted away over time and things are full of crud.

Is there an anti siphon valve in the fuel tank? It will be in the fitting attached to the tank.

And ditch the 25 micron merc filter and use the 10 micron yamaha filter...it was designed for the HPDI.

Ok...so changed the filters it runs good...find black goo in the VST...change the tank and it runs bad? I'd say you need to change the canister again and/or check the tank for a plugged anti-siphon valve.

remove the fitting with the anti siphon valve and use a 1/4" punch to knock out the ball and spring. them put the empty fitting back in.

That 10 micron Yamaha filter is way to long to put it anywher in the AE21 L.O.L.
