I lost a skeg on a v8 rigged challenger and thought the steering failed at the first turn in the river, used a marker buoy to bump me back on line!no such thing as letting off!

I have read a lot about 'don't use welded skegs'.
Never had a welded skeg, but if I broke one and got it welded, it would be sold for non surfacing use.

SO.... You bust a skeg and possibly drive for MILES like that without noticing... And then Ratwhacker??? Or whoever on the other site goes through like three cases on His Hydrostream and never noticed either.......... I am starting to wonder if the skeg thing is hull sensitive.

Ya...I'd bet if you lost one on an Alliston you'd be in for a ride...of course if you sneeze in an "A" boat you're going for a ride....lol.
