Don't laugh, these older helms have are very strong. Also the hub is a good size.
For 25 dollars or less you have a usable helm.

I'll bolt that to inside of outhouse door, old shifter/throttle for steerin', gearin' & gruntin' after morning coffee & bran grenade.

Sorting thru some parts yesterday and found:
[1] a good 15 [49 or 56] inch nitro drive shaft...$150.00
[2] an old 71 49 15 inch steering arm and bracket. That is the one with the bolt on the end of the steering arm shaft You need to grind the weld at the top to get the shift rod thru,...$75.00
[3] a 40 or 50 hp Yamaha 15 inch mid and foot....$400.00
[4[ a standard bore 1976 stinger block..the good one...very little wear....3 good pistons..$200.00

There were a lot of OMC 15 inch parts for sale at Dunnville. Kevin may have some left. Craig got two 15 inch mids and Dave got a gear case. There was other stuff there on Saturday. More gear cases, steering arms and shifters.
