So your girlfriend wears a keep calm and shine on T shirt unless mike stopped giving those out.
mikes awesome, I did his previous shop sign but no more shop.
i am trying to get ahold of Larry, but he is difficult to get ahold of at times.
i am going to go take a peek at this engine maybe on Monday or Thursday night

i think Fluffy( david) rebuilt this one , if i heard mike correctly maybe a year or two ago.

That looks like a CLE to me... Which is good. And contrary to the Dok's comments... That is a light weight cowl which is not worthless... But it is definitely not an offshore mid.

i was looking at another motor similar to this, with orange stickers, it said f1 on it but the serial number was from the 70's, :? it looked modded all to hell, same mid but had a square cut out with a flap, that opened and closed, almost bought it instead of the valero, , are these offshore looking mercs good, bad or otherwise do they make good power? or just look fast, and do they last? :? :|

It's just a 200 boomer. Some fatherly advice would be to stay away from modded stuff unless it was done by somebody reputable and you know the history. 2.5 200 mercs are apparently pretty reliable. It is not an offshore ... It's just a standard mid. Cut and welded homemade mids on mercs can be weak.

Paul probably has stuff lying around if you want a merc.
