I was able to get the mid powder coated and back together for the show in Gravenhurst, looks brand new again.
I was set up beside Speemaster Racing's F1 boat, another Scycraft hull, built with a Hofman cell.
I had a great time at the show, loved watching the old boats run.
I think I have caught the racing bug. I have been able to crew for, and help out an F1 team at the Bay City River Roar, the on water demonstration at the show in Gravenhurst, and the Valleyfield regatta this past weekend in Quebec. Brian Venton (17), drives for the team I have been working with, he was running in the demo at Gravenhurst in the red F1 boat.
I think I have changed my mind on set up... again... Pretty sure I've found a good #6 speedmaster, and parts to run my engine LH, and am going to set it up so I can run SST120/F2 or formula 150 to start out for next year. I might even try to make it to the race in Kankakee if things work out.
I know this is probably what I should have just done from the start, but I'm learning as I go.
