Hey guys!
I'm New to HPBCanada
i'd like to say Hello! i will hopefully be an avid contributor on the forum.
I dont belong to many full sized boat forums only RC boat forums and Signage/graphic forums, RC boats being my hobby of the past 12 years and Signage being my second Career, first being a Marine Tech, rather a parts exchanger! LOL
Some of you may know where these molds came from, maybe even know more about them then me!
if you do please share, my motto... knowledge is power!

To save a bit of typing i will copy what i wrote on S&F
I ended up buying some special boat molds !, there STV pro comp boat hull molds with both cowling molds
I am documenting my build of these boats,
first im starting with the 2 seater cowel.
buff wax, wax, more wax, and gel coat.
I have a full time job so this will be slow going,
I also completed a seat as well which will show photos
This is the "race cowling" mold i will be building using a hand lamination technique., HOWEVER
for the hull, and Deck and any other building after i will be using the VIP ( vacuum infusion process) method to build stronger and lighter hulls.
also pictures you see at the bottom are of the cowling/fairing, finished from the mold and being poopped out!

Seat molds ( which i wont be using in this boat i will be using a full back seat, these i will throw on kijiji for like go carts or something.

VERY COOL!
I've always really liked the procomp deck.
Did McPherson have just the drag bottom or was there a ski bottom mold to?

You might be suprised how much interest you have in those seats! People love them.

Welcome to the site.

I have pulled two seats out of the molds, they come out quite nice, I don't really want to use them for my boats, I wanted something a bit larger, like some seats that have a full back and larger side bolsters. I may end up making a mold of one of those for my boats.

And I believe I have the drag bottom, Only one hull mold. Not sure of the differences between the ski bottom and this.

From what I remember the drag bottom had shallow tunnels and a step in the outer sponsons.
I don't know the details but Roark designed the hull to leave hard. I don't think it handled quite as well as the SKI or MVP bottom.
Would be cool to see some lightweight drag/procomps running though :D

I believe there were also 2 different procomp decks. I would assume you have the real PC deck as the other was set up for a center steer and was a lower profile windscreen.

I'm not sure on a cost of one of these, It would be White gel-coat as that's what i have a abundance of! LOL
my plan was to do all boats solid white. and do a vehicle wrap on them for color, I own a sign shop/graphic shop so i have 60 inch printer and all the equipment I need, so I was going to make a template and just build a wrap package for it.
as for pricing, I'm not to sure. what are you willing to pay for it? for a price point what have people sold ones in the past? ill do a bit of searching on it. except mine will be brand new! :)
and shipping, it will be on a skid and boxed up, no biggy there.

Thanks!, I was Told by the previous owner that it would corner pretty good!, but it would spin out under hard hard turns with a large motor.
Here is a pic of the transom.
I used the bar to let the hull sit above the mold, and as I remember the boat did teeter on that bar, so that means to me the sponsors are higher up the the center pad.
