Was checking out Scream and fly and saw guys were starting up a thread at lake X and I've heard of it before but never really knew too much about it. So I started looking into it a little bit and its actually got some really cool history behind it. Found this video, some of you may have seen it but I thought it was a pretty cool watch. It would be sweet to head down and see what the original "Lake X" has become.

It would have been baddass to stand in that tower in the 80's while they were dialing in Jesse james or some other hardcore old race boat. Absolutely amazing. But sentimentality is costly... So lake x..? No more.

The tower is in such disrepair, it would be dangerous to go in it.

It's really sad.....the whole place is unreal. I love the whole 50's space age feel to the architecture. I'm sure it's existence made no financial sense in the last decade but its unfortunate to see it melt back into the Florida swamps. It should be a museum....

And I hate merc lol
