I think if there are lots of boats we can seperate the boats and get the stock limited motors together.

But in order to get the boats us smaller hp guys can't get intimidated by the 260's and 300's in lake racer.

Hopefully we get enough boats to run the three classes we want ...... then we won't have to worry. We just need people to give it a try and if there's people running true stock motors that are non HP production or modded past the limits of that class then we won't have to worry.

Looking forward to the AGM for sure

It is hard setting up the different class's for racing, and your never going to make everybody happy.
Unlimited, the big boys with 12" mids no NOS, 15" race boats no NOS, lake racer, is hard to even make Fair. If a guy has carbon fiber stv, ally 15" mid and a 400 hp drag no NOS, how can a huy compete with a stock drag, and weigh 350 lbs more. Never going to happen. So they add min weight, and start adding weight for options, a cut motor, svs etc. It isn't going to ever be perfect. Sucks but they cant have 12 class's. You have to set your boat up for the class you want to race. It is 10 times worse with boats combo you guys are talking about. Just try and come with the best solution.. I don't like rope racing, but there class's are better. Doesn't matter what kind of boat/motor. They run on the clock 8 seconds, 9,10,11,12 Etc. You have to run as close to 10 seconds flat..
We had some races here years ago, and we had a weekend of testing, and put the closest guys in class's together. It was more for the fans to watch, and try to promote racing to become an annual event. Similar to what you guys are doing. Everybody has to be honest no sandbagging. Lol might help with you guys too.

You are bang on. Our ultimate goal is to have clear and defind classes, but for now we have to get guys out to try racing so that they also get hooked like we are. I hope fo the this season to track wins and losses in each class by boat so we can pair goups up that will run close and up the competition. We are also trying to build a pool of community props for guys to borrow and try at the race site. We have been looking for props for 2 or so weeks and we already have two of them donated. THe ultimate goal is to have 5 or more for guys to use and try! then when we know who is running what and who is competitive we can build classes with more detail!

I know these things cheap but how do they hold up/run?
This seems like a killer deal for someone with a formula boat looking for a drag prop.

Also for anyone looking for new Yamaha drags I believe Jordan Marine has them for a good price

with my g/ratio that prop is only going to give me about 84mph! I need to get up to Lake KasheX in the spring to get some side by side comparisons!

I would guess that 84mph is hauling in 800ft for a Formula boat.
When I ran my 260 at Gravenhurst my gps was showing somewhere around 91 at the end ofthe track.
GPS isn't a great tool for judging speed like that but I bet it was in that neighborhood.
Your 2.4 will spin.
