so its been a while :lol: thats solid dude.. remember any speeds ? what were your setups? i'v had the bow lift pretty violently on my winder a few times on muskoka i worry about the day she doesnt land wet side down..

Most of them were in the 65 to low 70 mph range. In the early days you were not allowed power trim so you depended on boat balance to drop the nose for the turn. When your in your early twenties you don't have the same fears. After you dump the first time, it is no big deal. You get to know the feel. Most times it is two big skips and on the third up you go.
You calmy push out of the seat and lean over the bow to get it down. If the bow is a 75 or more degrees vertical, then you push hard and exit. It happens in slow motion.

do you push straight up like an ejection seat? or aim off to the side?

You push back and to the side. On a light boat the push plus your weight leaving the boat, sometimes allowed the boat to land frontwards and right side up. If the boat is coming back at you want to be at the side. It is a hard landing and you skip when you hit the water. The race boats did not have the decks glassed to the hull. There were pop rivets so the deck would separate. Much easier fix.

i'll keep that in mind thanks for the tips , all this talk is making me want too cut my baja hull down too size and re work the deck too make a t 850. i need too trade my 1150 in for a 70, :lol:
