Not surprised. Younger people currently don’t have spare money to purchase toys. Also people avoid anything that needs repairs. The asking prices have jumped in the last few years due to the cost of buying new. Many sellers are just testing the market to see if they can make a big profit. The resellers are quick to purchase the cheap buys and flip them. Good buys sell extremely fast. Other items are of no interest at all regardless of price and those items remain on marketplace for months.
Sellers complain about low ballers and tire kickers. But, that’s the nature of private sales.
Instead of trying to sell a boat motor and trailer package sellers could have better success selling things separately. People have less money to spend.
