On the site there are people interested, but no person has stepped up to take the lead. To make it worth while you need firm commitment from people to buy a boat [money], a person or persons who can build a good boat and a location to build boats and store the molds. People think you can build a Delta for a few hundred dollars...NOT TRUE! The key is to find someone with the skill set, the passion and the desire to build a few boats for the fun of it. There will not be a large demand for these boats. The best option is to buy a new Top Gun Critchfield for $3500.00.

As an afterthought why not contact the seller and get the list of materials it takes to build one boat. Then cost them out.

Who is next?

Demand for these would be minimal. We couldn't justify the expense and time involved to make zero $$$. We concentrate on semi-truck, rv repairs, car molds and car production. The bulk of new material advancement is in the automotive field. Bill Swift at Swift Canoes spends a fair amount of time experimenting with new laminates and materials. By the way 2500 is to much for the mold. A 1000 on a good day provided it's straight, otherwise it's junk. You have to have sales to justify the asking price of the mold and from where I sit the business model makes no sense. Material cost alone for e-glass and resin would put you in the 1500 area never mind a carbon boat, labour, hardware, etc.

Just thought of someone, Dave Kidd, builds and races his own 5 litre hydro. He might be interested but I dont know where he would find the time. I'll drop him a line about it. He has vacuum bagging equipment etc.

Matt is also interested and DOK was last year. I think the owner will take $1000. for them. My offer to contribute $300. still applies.
We need a place to store the molds and a place to make the boats. Jeremy has shown us that the Delta is an excellent T750 boat.

I would be interested in a hull if the project gets off the ground within the next year or so .

Has anyone looked at the moulds?
How much work would they need before they can produce a quality product?
