I just put put in piles for my new boatport. The ice was still 16" thick - yet open water 150' out from shore. It will be 32' wide x 28' long - all 4 sides open like a big gazebo. 12' wide deck in the middle with a 10' wide slip on each side for the 2 marine railways. It was nice and warm today so I got the concrete poured in the piles. Everywhere we tried to dig rocks, BIG Rocks, and a 2 Really BIG Rocks.

That's a project! Digging up here is always a challenge.

No more snow down our way or very little. Can't go on the lawn since it would be a muddy disaster. Lots of inside stuff with the kids. They eventually packed up and went to the grandparents with my wife so it was me all on my lonesome by the end of the week.

What lake is the boatport on?

March Break doesn't mean much to me. No kids, and it isn't a break in the US where I work. But I did do a drive to our cottage and looked at a boat.

I'd attach a picture, but I still get this message "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached" when I try to add a picture.

We are on a small lake between Burk's Falls and Parry Sound

You've got to host the pics elsewhere. I use tinypic.com to host then you just cut and paste the IMG tag...and you can use it to post on any of the boards. It keeps the load off the server and membership cheap lol

I created shop space by selling the Race Bike and spares. Racing has eaten up more than it's fair share of my time these past 7 years. No regrets, now it's time to move back to "messing with boats". More fun, less expensive.
First up is a Sidewinder 14SS we dragged out of a field last fall, Adams first budget build. Stay tuned.

Doc, nice to see you made Family time, nice rink.

Doug, what can I say but wow, that's a big undertaking. Looking good though.
My shoreline aspirations are less adventurous... Level shore behind break wall, install a fire pit, Interlock the whole area.
Already have a concrete ramp and boat lift. Might need a new dock but that'll wait a year.

Course none of this will get done till I get healthy. Spent March Break indoors with the flu, no sooner does it leave than I get a cold. Been a tough month.

We've all been sick...passing it around and around. By daughter ended up with pneumonia in February. The nice weather seems to have cured us all though.

Today we started with Rockets and spent the rest of the testing all the hills around the property for speed on a GT snowracer lol

I saved a pic from tinypic on my hard drive and tried to upload. Same error.
