This seems like a solvable issue, no? Figure out exactly what the CBF needs and make it happen. The CBF should be able to quickly make this right.

Who is the drag rep??

We in T had to jump through hoops too...

There may be more to the story but the focus should be getting the problem solved and the drag class racing. Both sides can point fingers and solve nothing.

Doc, there's a lot more to this story but as you say, finger pointing solves nothing.
Long story short.....
All the requirements have been met. They were met, if not prior to then within hours of the arbitrary deadline set out by the TORC exec.
CBF allows for late sanctions (& alterations) there's a fee, but its permitted.
The only thing preventing drag from running in Gravenhurst is the current TORC leadership.

What a shame, we really enjoyed the drags at Gravenhurst. Nothing against the wood boat guys, but..... Without drag boats I don't really see us attending. :|

TORC exec don't care if there is spectators or not.
That was stated at the January meeting.

That's pretty much the essence of club racing though...most of us race for the fun of racing not so much for the fame. Not that this has anything to do with the current issues at hand. There's got to be a solution to get you guys on the water....

No spectators, no hotels, no restaurants.... Why would a town want or even allow an event that does nothing to creat a draw for them. Boggles the mind how short sighted some can be.

How the eff can they not care about spectators? No spectators=no sponsorship does it not? How do you get a venue to race at with no sponsorship or spectators? Does some executive at TORC have a private lake to hold an event at so they can race? No dog in this fight but what a giant clusterfcuk.
