Well in my quest for more props I got hold of 3 stainless props today for silly money..
2 are OMC 13 spline and will fit perfect, also ideal pitch props for what I want to test with.

BUT the 3rd prop is a Ballistic 13 1/8 x 21 15 spline !!! (stamped attwood on the thrust end ?)

Can the Ballistic prop have the hub changed to OMC 13 spline or is this a no no.
its a pressed in hub not the easy change hub kit things or I wouldn't ask.

IF this can be done then the back of the prop also needs to be turned down 1/8th inch to fit inside my gearbox,
this is not a problem as the prop will be going on a lathe to have the front cut down by atleast an inch anyway.
at the nut end these props are crazy length and will give stern lift that I dont want

but just wondered if anyone has done this before ?
I fancy doing it is because of the large amount of RAKE on the blades of the ballistic,
its 30 degree rake compared to just 15 degree rake on my other props (omc sst) and I need this rake to get bow lift.

well I have a place to change the hub for me, supplied and fitted will cost me £40 all in. that's about $80 Canadian.
might be expensive over there but it seems to be cheap for the uk.

just have to wait a couple of weeks before I am down near the bloke, as postage over here is getting to be real stupid now.
to send a prop just 50 miles is around £15 (30 Canadian) and that's each way.
so might as well go down there and get it done while I wait.
