well the old bridgeports wouldnt see much difference in the carbs from their 70hp models as
they were all the same size venturi in the 56 bridgeports just different jets, some even had 3 jets I believe.

some people talk of big bore 75 stinger carbs, they are much smaller than the 70hp oval port.
If you get a commercial 70hp oval port it will come with 60hp size venturi (in most country's).

I will measure the venturi either today or tomorrow.

and get stamp no's of side of carb body's.

I have big bore plastic top carbs on my 50hp twin... 1.25" venturi size. Same as the big bore bridgeport carbs and same as big bore 75 stinger carbs. I can't say what came on the 70hp oval as I've never owned one.

sounds exactly the same as the 60hp carbs on the oval port.

on the side of the 60 carbs is cast number 338069 and small numbers D1 and D2
I have no idea what the D1 and D2 is about.
but on the back of the carbs the the D1 is not a smooth machine finish like the top and bottom D2 carbs ??

here is the backs of the 60's showing the middle carb is not machine finished like the top and bottom.
cant find any part number differences of the carbs so maybe just a cheaper production run ??

No, the plastic top carbs I have on my 50hp are 1.25 Venturi size, not throat size. Same as the big ones you have, same as the large Bridgeport ones, same as the large 75 stinger ones...

if the Bridgeport 70 carbs were the same size i could of done that very easy and cheaply.
there is hundreds of sets of those on ebay every week.

do you seriously think i would of had carbs sent from canada (4,00 miles ) at very high postage cost, then pay
huge import tax and duty on them, when just 3 miles from me is a evinrude dealer who has loads of Bridgeport 70
carbs for sale at half the price these have cost me ?

on another forum you said that
" The 70 hp oval port made 70hp with smaller carbs than the 70hp Bridgeport "
can you explain that as now i am getting realy confused with what your saying ?

i can only talk about the carbs ive had in my hands, and that includes loads of sets of omc inc
50hp and 60hp twins, 25 ,30 and 35 twins, 60, 65, 70 Bridgeport triples both 49 and 56 cu in, and 60 and 60 oval ports.
so far the largest venturi i have ever owned is the oval port 70 carbs that are now on my engine.
i have also handled but not owned a few 50 and 60hp twins over the years.

You're a fucking tool. Try working on engines rather than spouting off all the info you miss interpret off the net

Have you measured the Venturi size or do you even know what that is?

learn what a venturi is, measure it, and then tell me it's bigger than 1.25"
