Yammer, you missed my point completely
How so and sorry for the miss ....
We allowed him to race his boat. We discussed how to even the field so he could run in the future and in a way that everyone agreed upon. We discussed prop pitches even. Etc etc.
We know that more boats are better but must be done fairly in a way that keeps the long time participants happy while filling the class.
Trust me that when he gets his boat tune dialed in it should do damage and that's great .... But not at the expense of a rule abiding class boat.
Please also keep in mind that these simple rules didn't just spring out of the ground the day before the race .... These have been known for months and months. Mike knew it was an experiment to see how it would go. At what point does an organization stick to its rules ? I'd say after the rules were set , no ?
I can't go to DSRA / ODBA with a non-conforming combination and expect them to bend just for me. Same as I can't with my car when I run the Yellow Bullet Nationals .........
But we have made an exception for Mike and he knew that.
There's nothing wrong with saying I missed your point but feel free to point out how. The more input the better
Cheers
