Yup... It couldn't have happened at a worse time in my life...

So now I'm left trying to figure some shit out... I'd rather store my car for the summer and fix the boat, instead of let the boat sit... My car just got brand new tires and is already down at the wear bars front and back, in 6000 kilometers. Needed them to last the season, isn't likely now LOL

Oh yeah the prop shaft is bent, so it's likely the bottom end is no good...

Is anyone able to help me out and pull the bottom end off? I've never worked on boats before. I'd gladly do all of the work, I just don't know what I'm doing. I just need someone to tell me what to do...

Take a deep breath.....it's just a boat..

There's one bolt in the cavity above the prop then the 6 (3 on each side) bolts around the perimeter...then it falls off. Bring it to me or Top Gun...

I think i have bought 6 or 8 gearcases since i started in the shitiest hobby of all time (perf. Boating) wait until you crack skegs just based on speed.. then you will totally lose faith in mankind..... and after that.... the world will villainize you for having it welded and call you murderous and suicidal.......... gearcases suck. Kiss doktor c and dubbers ass.... they probably can source you a 2.6 yamaha case. Or topgun. Have you thought of insurance? Did you have any. Urgh.... gearcases almost totally ruined going fast for me.... so i bought a slow boat with nav.

But it's my dream boat!!! Lol

I'll take it apart next weekend when I'm up there, and bring it on up to the Sound for inspection. I hope it isn't too much. If the shaft is bent (barely) does that mean I need a new bottom end??
