If we were to adopt any weight regulated 800' class then we are no better for "the boats we have" than previous.
As long as people wanted to follow the motor specific weight rules for ODBA Lake Racer class and the different classifications of their motor rules based on mods. Super Stock motor , Pro Stock , Super Gas , Pro Gas , Modified Production etc etc

Jeeze SS weight = time in drag racing. Ditch the extra stuff for the race. :)

Anyone know if the local dumps will allow you to disconnect to at least get a weight with the trailer?

Greg, are you able to lift the boat from the trailer at your place?

I can ask about the scale at the G'hurst transfer station. It's only about 5 min from my place.
I can lift my stuff but I don't know if I could lift 1400 lbs.
Archer has a scale we can use and if req'd we can build a gantry for weigh in.
Not a huge deal. There's also a local boom truck operator that would probably help us out for some shameless promotion and a few bucks if I asked him.

Hey Greg see my post just above lol my dump will weigh for 5 bucks, i'm guessing most will be the same.

Going back to one of your previous post's, we will need an official weigh in of some sort for Gravenhurst. I can likely get a set of slings if we need them. Let me know.

Jeff and Jay, when does all of this have to be decided and presented to be adapted for next season? Are we going to have an excuse for a winter meeting in Greg's shop

This should get decided ASAP really. If we all voted hands up in favour of having a minimum weight of 1550 lbs boat / driver / race ready gear who would say yes ?
2014 racers :

Ted -
Pat -
Jason -
Anthony SS -
Dean -
Ken -
Greg -
Neilson -

Not one Drag/S3000 block used last year , all 2.5's were stock 260/280 ( I know nothing about Pats motor though ) , two big block Mercury's . Keep the compression rule as is so others can use if they choose to. Allow 12" mids as long as they shift because the weight advantage they'd have is negated by the 1550lb minimum rule

Up to you all as you are the racers

It varies depending on what class of motor you're running. Ted has to weigh 1390 , the other weights for stock 260 are 1540 . Weight is based on motor combination. A bone stock DRAG / S3000 has to weigh 1550 to 1570 depending on year and intake. Modified 2.5 1700 etc etc.

DSRA rules are very similar as well depending on what class they fall into.

I am all for it..... because I won't have to do a damn thing to my boat.... and I can add compression.... Makes a good season for me.

I think we lose pat if if we have to be 1550..... It is very hard to put in a weight rule with out knowing current boat weights.....
