1973 Crestliner 12.8 foot Spoiler boat with 1973 Johnson Stinger 65. I'm building a Stinger short shaft for this boat, in normal mounting position the short shaft will put the centre line of the prop about 2.5 inches under the pad. Currently the long shaft stinger gets the boat going about 45 mph (by old school gauge) and prop on that motor is 8 inchs under the pad.

Old long shaft Stinger runs perfect has 125 psi compression down the board its all factory sealed still. I will be selling the motor after I swap out for a short shaft.

Thanks it’s a lot of fun, I will be re-powering it with the new motor in the spring and will post some GPS speeds and more pictures.

Nice! I always loved those old Stingers too. They look pretty cool. Welcome aboard!

Always like this boat...it looks very similar to the GW Invader Nike but it was 15ft

Cool Boat. Nice to see some older rides still out on the water.
