I think a large case 49 Omc or large case yamaha 70 is to much motor for the 750 class. You put a large case on Dok's voodoo and it's 60mph easy even with his tired motor. These are 850 motors not 750 motors. Just my opinion.[/quote]
The information I have so far from owners of the VooDoo's and from people that have owned this combination is consistent. The boats run 52 to 55 mph. These are all non race models. I would think Craig Fraser's Critchfield short shaft, big foot would be at the very high end performance wise. Under the Fair Competition Rule that combination was not allowed in T750 . We would do the same with these boats. No points would be awarded because they are currently not legal in the class.
UIM in Britain is now doing the same thing. They are allowing the 90 Yamaha to run in T850. No points awarded, but they need to encourage different motors in order to keep the class going. Our rules are years ahead compared to theirs.
