So based on numbers...83% efficient? Was this on a short or long run? The prop was a cleaver?

yes the prop was a 35x15, my tach might be a little off. but 17% slip are the numbers apparently.

Ok ...so that can explain the efficiency on the short run....give your self about a 5 mile stretch and you could probably see the efficiency go up... with no increase in RPM, but increase in speed. Cleavers are generally not very efficient on short runs...but I have hooked them up to as little as 6% Slip on long runs.... a tach is a tach...no question ... but the initial numbers are at least a bench mark...Play safe and watch your transom hieght with Cleavers....too high and the back end will come around VERY fast....

Bring it down to Scugog in the next week or so .... I think we will be stringing out Biglow's SS. Leaving the heads on and going to try for 115+.... Just looking for a true 32 Lab ET that's Mercury stock LAB.

Some one down there must have one to lend you guys…
If not I have one for ya… Now just to get it down there in time is the problem… Might be able to drop it off at The Gun's Shop towards the end of the week if I go, don't know …

There have been a few SS's that have run in the very high teens, not up here yet but that does not mean that you can't.
Greg houses, what I think could be, the fastest v bottom boats in the country… His XR2001 with a top end motor and a big wheel could possibly run in the mid to high 120's or more  Then he has the sweet side by side XR2002, put his drag on a 15" mid =fast. Then he has his SS comp, with 15" drag motor could do 120... 8-)

If you're going to run on Scugog, you'd better do it soon. Was just out there today. All that foam looking shit has ice under it...
