Drag plate came in today
... Sweet piece, thanks Mitchie
. Now too drill that first hole in a NEW Sporty.
Finally tried the MSR Drag Plate yesterday, and to be honest with you, I was a little nervous... First thing that I notices is that at a fast idle I could see over the deck of the boat , which I couldn't see before... She popped out of the water real nice with out much boat hop like before. She felt flighty like I had a lot of trim into it right out of the hole... Still a little skeptical about where I had mounted the plate, the 3lt. sporty has a very short cavitation plate about 13.5" so I took Mitchie's advice and let the plate hang out the back. She hangs past the cavitation plate 3.5" and about 8" out front ... hense the nervous part
... I was waiting for that front part to fold down and hook me hard. After several fast passes in excess of 100 mph on and off the pad with some hard lefts and rights... trying to break the plate with out success
. The plate works, can't wait too try a smaller wheel.
That's great news Ken!!! I knew it would work for ya! Now go kill it in Gravenhurst!!!!
