We tested several. On most the LATE model nitro foot with the angled skeg is a little better. The SST 60 foot does get more water to the motor, but it tends to hold the back of the boat down. Remember on a T the prop shaft has to be below the boat, so this automatically puts more gear case in the water. The best gear case is the Yamaha! That partially explains why the yamaha is competitive eventhough it produces far less HP compared to theT850 OMC's.

Just another add. Your driving style and your ability makes a difference. If you noticed the way Todd and The Gun do some corners. They walk the boat around the turn on a wider curve. It is easier to do that with the nitro foot.

Ken, with the newer omc 3 cylinder trim set up do you have any negative trim? Looks like some extensions were added where the tilt pins contact the swivel. I assume this was needed to give clearance to allow the motor to turn.

Package looks great. What kind of numbers are you getting out of it?

I believe the motor is dry stacked also?

I've heard this also..but after talking with Todd and the switch he made on his Critch last year the sweep back nitro holds better in the corners for racing.

That is why I mentioned the Yamaha foot in the post. The yamaha is a straight skeg and it does work very well. I think the difference in any of the OMC feet would be little. It depends on the driver, the set up and the steering feel the driver is comfortable with. I didn't mention the 650XS foot. I think it is the best one of the lot. It has a great feel in the corners and the 1;64 ratio allows you to run props down to 11 inch diameter and get bit out of the turns and top end. It is the easiest one to drive.
