How many times are you planning on doing this?

If your going to do it a lot (let's hope not) have something made up.

Otherwise .... Get 'er DONE!

By the time you F around with the part - you could have had 2 other jobs done.

The water is getting softer and softer

just saying

:o :o :o

I may be a nervous nelly but those are the bolt holes to pull the flywheel and not lift the motor. I wouldn't want to lift the motor by the flywheel....

I am not familiar with OMCs but isn't there another spot to thread in a monster eye bolt to lift the motor?

It's strong enough...don't worry. The factory merc lifting ring screws into the flywheel and has for years...even the Verado has one that bolts on and that weighs more than my boat!

The Doktor is in and has spoken. I shall slink away into the darkness again...

:)

I've still got it.

Working on a new shiny cowl for it as well.

Once I get an idea of how the Johnny is going to work. I'll make a decision on what to do with the Excel.

Still love that engine!!!
