Who is in for racing next year For sure = ? Maybe = ? Would like to know more = ? FORMULA : Really thought we'd see a 4-8 boat count of Formula class boats at both of the races this past year but not one. What would help get you out to try it ? Lake Racer : Once again Lake Racer went well and can always use more boats and with the rules there's a bunch of boats in Ontario that fit perfectly into the class. Outlaw Pro Drag : Had a good showing of what is up here to race and RichS coming to play in Dunnville ( thank you |

I'm in. For those yet to try this and on the bubble, or those sensing it's not for them, give it the good ol' college try. Not sure, but I think it was Confucius who philosophized, "'Tis more soul-enriching to drag race last than to not drag race at all". Sharp dude. It really is fun, even when you get ass-kicked. ESPECIALLY when getting ass-kicked. At my first race (Dunnville 2012), I was first to be eliminated and on the trailer--of anyone. Awesome! Unbeknownst to me, my wife video'd me being pulled back to the pits. Still in the boat, I half-shouted (over the din of the tractor) to her and my then-six-year-old daughters, "Daddy got his butt kicked!" Seconds later, one daughter 's cute, confused voice can be heard, "What's that? Daddy caught a pumpkin?" Beyond priceless. Yes, honey, Daddy caught a pumpkin. More recently, and many ass-kickings later, at roughly half-track in Jasper against one of the 2013 ODBA high-points contenders, I was so outclassed I actually burst out laughing in my helmet. Lengths behind. At barely 700 feet. And then the gap grew. LMAO. We only get one trip around, and this racing has been a great way for me/us to meet and share valuable time with some pretty stellar people. I tip my hat to those responsible for their organizational efforts. Okay, that's enough out of me for another six months... |

The more boats the better. It's a different game and if you haven't done it it's a blast and there's all the help you need there. . . |

Be great to have you out to a race or two for sure. Maybe even talk you into putting a helmet on. |
