I'd like to thank all the racers from this past year for putting on an amazing show.

Now for 2015. . . .

I'd like to see a more level competition acting field. Now how do we do that ?

A few ways really.

1- Add a Lake Racer Pro class and tighten up the rules for Lake Racer class
2- Add a minimum weight to our existing Lake Racer class ( 1400lb is and has been used in other organizations in the past ) .
3- Tighten up our existing rules to a maximum cranking compression of 150lbs
4- Add 100lbs to each of the top three boats from 2014
5- ...... chime in on your thoughts.

Please add your comments and thoughts here racers as this is for you !!

Thanks in advance.

I know my boat wasn't finished in time for this season but should be done for next. My boat doesn't really fit into any class but lake racer would be closest I would think. Maybe bring it and run it and go from there?

Do weigh ins in Gravenhurst and go on the honor system for Dunnville?
Archer has a set of scales we can use.
I may be able to get a local boom truck owner to come out for part of a day, baring that we could do a weigh in session at my place prior to the race.

Many of the T Boat racers could weigh their boats as well. Gravenhurst does bring out the new racers.

If we go for the weight rule we will figure it out and the weigh in will be mandatory.
Let's see what the masses say :)
Have a great day ahead

No idea on weight and no idea on horsepower yet. It'll be coming from a 2.0l power head on a 12" with a 200 case. Not a clue how it will run, not even rigged yet but I guess bring it and see where it fits in?

We will figure it out but it cannot be allowed to run in Lake Racer if it's let's say only 1000lbs race ready ..... Have to be fair to all.

I'd really like to see a mix of boats in the finals and not the same two or three

Hopefully more chime in as we need to adjust the rules soon if we are doing so to give CBF the time they need to approve.

:)

There are not enough boats in lake racer as it is soooo let's not split that up so #1 should be ruled out.
We should follow the 1400 lbs rule like other organizations.
As for the 150 lbs compression rule I like that too  It will hopefully bring more boats out... :D
Love the Idea of, also adding weight to the top 3 if they are dominant
So to sum up : 1400 lbs with no more than 150 lbs compression and still add weight to the dominant boats.

Ken I think that is a good Idea....My only worry is what if a dominant boat continues to be dominant..... I don't really want or know how to add 200lbs to my boat safely
